Stirling Lodge has been a fishing resort for over 100 years and for the last 31 years operated by the Hills. We offer complete service for the avid fisherman. While fishing remains our mainstay, we have a very comfortable resort where the less enthusiastic fishermen can relax in the peace and quiet of our comfortable surroundings. Set in the small town of Newboro, (population 310) our 7.5 acre grounds overlook Newboro Lake. The lake is about 7 miles long and 6 miles wide and is actually 6 lakes joined together. It is primarily a shallow lake (though some areas are over 100 feet deep) with countless islands and 2 large fish sanctuaries, where no fishing of any kind is permitted. These areas provide a large protected spawning area for the fish and provide us with exceptionally consistent fishing. The avid fisherman will find our Large and Smallmouth fishing second to none and our Pike fishing plentiful. Our central location offers a variety of activities to the less enthusiastic angler. Golfing, sightseeing and shopping are but a few minutes away. Stirling Lodge is an American Plan resort and we offer 3 full meals each day in our Post and Beam Dining Room. We have a full service Marina and a full time marina attendant to look after our guests needs. Everything that is needed is available at the lodge.
